Monitoring
Database monitoring
Agentless health monitoring for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Oracle and SAP HANA.
The probe connects to your databases over their native protocol and runs lightweight health queries — no agent on the database server. Metrics flow into the same thresholds, alerts and trend charts as every other PingIQ sensor.
Engines
- PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB
- Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB and Oracle
- SAP HANA
Metrics
- Connection latency and used-vs-max connections (and %)
- Cache hit ratio, replication lag and database size (where the engine exposes them)
- Warn/critical thresholds on connection usage, replication lag and latency, with recovery alerts
PostgreSQL is validated; the other engines are in beta while validated against live systems. The monitoring account only needs read access to the engine's stats views; credentials are encrypted at rest and masked in the UI.
